We have a passion for people, our community, and our world. Our culture and leadership are characterized by worship, a deep love for God, and a genuine call to ministry. These core values have been shaped by our rich history of outstanding church leadership and energy; always pressing forward in our call to love God and love others.

Pastor Greg Molter has served St. Peter’s United Methodist Church since July 2021, guiding the congregation with a compassionate heart, steady leadership, and a deep devotion to sharing the love of Christ. As Pastor, he leads worship, administers the sacraments, and tends to the spiritual needs of both the church family and the wider community. His ministry is marked by authenticity, resilience, and a desire to walk beside others through all seasons of life.
Greg’s path to ministry is rooted in a lifetime of diverse experiences. Before hearing God’s call, he served 22 years in the U.S. Air Force, where he lived and worked in many cultures and environments. Those years taught him to engage with people in their moments of joy, sorrow, challenge, and celebration—lessons that continue to shape his pastoral care today.
He began formally exploring ministry in 2002 as a Certified Lay Speaker, filling in for pastors across various congregations. Sensing God’s direction toward deeper service, he became a Licensed Local Pastor in 2007 and pursued theological training through the Wesley Theological Seminary Course of Study. While working bi-vocationally, he completed two courses per year and ultimately graduated in 2019.
In 2009, Greg was appointed pastor of Saint Paul’s–Emmanuel UMC in Danville, where he served for 13 years before adding St. Peter’s to his charge. His personal journey—including experiences with cancer, military service, and the loss of a spouse—has shaped in him a profound empathy for those facing hardship. He sees each chapter of his life as part of the way God has prepared him to minister with compassion and understanding.
What Greg loves most about serving at St. Peter’s is the spirit of its people. He often reflects on how blessed he is to serve a congregation that is loving, supportive, and committed to extending Christ’s welcome beyond the walls of the church building. He is inspired by their willingness to reach into the community so that all may know they have a place in God’s house.
Outside the church, Greg is an avid hunter and fisherman who appreciates the beauty and quiet of the outdoors. Travels to Washington state and Newfoundland have sparked a desire for new adventures whenever time allows.
A meaningful biblical anchor for Greg is Romans 8, a chapter that has continually reassured and strengthened him. Its reminder that we are brothers and sisters with Christ—and that nothing can separate us from the love of God—fuels his hope and his calling to serve.
Pastor Greg is also deeply grateful for the blessings of family. He shared 40 years of marriage with his first wife, with whom he raised two sons and welcomed nine grandchildren. After her passing, God brought Kelly into his life, and together they share a beautifully blended family: four children, fourteen grandchildren, and six great-grandchildren. Greg often reflects that his story feels like that of Job—what was lost has been restored twofold by God’s grace.

For more than 37 years, Gail has faithfully served as St. Peter’s organist, and for the past 23 years she has also directed the bell choir. Her leadership in worship music is rooted in lifelong dedication—she studied piano for 10 years, took organ lessons, and began playing for her home church in Frackville at just 15.
Gail loves being part of the worship experience and considers it a joy to help shape the musical life of the congregation. Her guiding scripture is simple yet profound: “Serve the Lord with gladness.” Psalm 100:2. It reflects her heart and her decades of joyful, steadfast ministry.
Beyond St. Peter’s, Gail shares her musical gifts with the community, playing bells with the Danville Community Band and singing with—and accompanying—the Community Singers for 40 years. She also enjoys crafting of all kinds, especially diamond art, needlework, ceramic painting, and bead crafts.
Gail’s creativity, dedication, and passion for worship make her an irreplaceable part of the spiritual and musical heartbeat of St. Peter’s.

Debbie has been part of the St. Peter’s family for two years, bringing with her more than two decades of administrative experience from her time as the UMC Lewisburg District Administrative Assistant. In her role as Church Admin, she supports the pastor and church leadership, helps coordinate the day-to-day life of the congregation, and ensures that the work of the church runs smoothly and with grace.
Debbie finds joy in helping people and cherishes the opportunity to support a ministry that shares God’s Word in meaningful ways. One scripture that continually inspires her is Ephesians 5:14: “Wake up, sleeper, rise from the dead, and Christ will shine on you.” This verse serves as a reminder of renewal, purpose, and the light Christ brings into our lives.
Outside the office, Debbie loves spending time with her grandchildren and finds God’s presence in music, nature, and the simple joys of being outdoors—gardening, hiking, and caring for her many indoor plants and pets. She holds a deep affection for all plants and animals. When indoors, she enjoys reading, puzzles, and a variety of crafts.
Debbie’s warm spirit, servant heart, and love for God’s creation shine through in all she does, and the congregation is blessed by her presence.
